The Way I See It #76

The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating - in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

Blogger Eats Boogers

OK, look. I've done it long enough I know the ins and outs. I get how it is done, usually. Because I write and THINK, I'm usually 3-5 pieces ahead of myself, pieces "in the can" as they say. So why is Blogger saying (repeatedly, not once) that I've published a writing that is days away from being ready? It is god damned unnerving! It leaves nothing to the reader's imagination for what I might write about in the future. It makes me feel like spies are up my shorts. I do not care for it. If I want someone/something up my shorts, I'd like to have invite him/her/it.

To cop a phrase (sorry, dear) from my esteemed blogger friend, Erin O'Brien, "That is all."

  1. Thank you, Matt. It pisses me off. I don't have it figured out, but it annoys me because I don't know how to fix it.

  2. Are you talking about when a title appears in somebody's sidebar (such as mine), and, then, when that person (say, me again) clicks on that particular title, they get this "Sorry, but the post you are looking for could not be found"?

    That usually happens when you click on "publish" by mistake. Even when you put it back in draft, it still stays in everybody's sidebar. It becomes impossible to move unless you post something else right after it. Annoying as hell.

    Assuming that's what you're talking about.

  3. @ Kirk ~ Yes, that's pretty much it. My problem is that I know most of the tricks of the trade and have not fallen to them, usually. Now, it seems it just chooses me at random. ;~{
