My Favorite Bit of Paper Cup Philosophy

The Way I See It #76

The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating - in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

Life's 2 Short, I Forgive You

CAT-AIKU No. 542: ODE TO GERBERAS

No evidence left.
Trash taken out late last night.
Eye contact restored.

In my ears right now: B-52s "Love Shack" ~ " . . . I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20, so hurry on up and bring your jukebox money. . . ."

Because sometimes I do have a little attitude showing.

Something that charmed me: Dylan can't speak words. But his relief at the flower pot being removed was unmistakable.

  1. Love isn't rational. Forgiveness is.

  2. I've read such a claim! I wonder what it means that I both love him and forgive him.

  6. HA! Sitting at the desk this morning thinking about Love Shack and Fred Schneider ~ everything about him makes me snicker with sincere humor. One of the chiquitas in the B-52s is Cindy Wilson, the same name as my dear friend and personal assistant of decades. We two could break into song over anything . . . once it was "Solitary Man" until our throats hurt as we blasted through Corona, CA, the scent of cow manure permeating our personal landscape. I'm not sure I can ever say it loudly enough ~ music means sSO much to me. Everything that's ever happened to me is accompanied by some song or songs . . .

OB, you charmed me by popping back with Love Shack lyrics! This morning I drove to work in my minnow, chuckling.
